News and Events

Christmas Open House 2009

Over 100 people turned out for this event held on Sunday, December 20th and Santa Claus was there to meet the children too.

As usual VTEA was most happy to welcome members of the BC Hot Rod Association. One of the highlights was a presentation of a cheque for $9,500 to VTEA, which had been raised in a BCHRA Auction on December 1. The BC Hot Rod Association is one of the strongest supporters of VTEA and their ongoing support is highly appreciated. You can read more about their activities on the BC Hot Rod Association website.

Pacific & Prairie Horse Journal Magazine features VTEA

VTEA is featured in the latest issue of the Pacific & Prairie Horse Journal Magazine in an article written by Paula Farr, VTEA Assistant Instructor.

Annual Pub Night / Silent Auction 2009

The Annual Pub Night / Silent Auction was held on November 21st in Jimy Mac's Pub, Langley. A big thank-you must be given to the Jimy Mac staff who did a great job in making this such a huge success. Paula Farr and her PubNight Committee had obtained some spectacular items for the Silent Auction and for a Raffle and a good time was had by all. The event raised over $4,400 for VTEA's riding program, which was most welcome and thanks are due to all the donors and to all the volunteers who helped to make this a most memorable event.

Greater Visibility In Our Communities

Given the more difficult times for charities that rely on donations, VTEA is ensuring it is more visible in our communities. The website has been improved for greater Google visibility and visitor traffic so that our supporters can get better recognition for their generosity. You can find more details in this PDF document on Greater Visibility In The Langley/Fraser Valley Community. You can also view a short VTEA slide presentation.
