Annual VTEA Pub Night / Silent Auction 2009
Note that the Fundraiser Evening in 2010 is being held at Fraser Downs Casino and Racetrack on Friday November 12. More details are available in the new VTEA Times, which is the VTEA blog.
In 2009, this Fundraising event was held on Saturday, November 21st - 6pm in Jimy Mac's Pub, 19935-96th Avenue, Langley. Tickets for this were fully sold out two weeks before the event and the VTEA crowd had a great time together. A big thank-you must be given to the Jimy Mac staff who did a great job in making this such a huge success.
All credit must go to Paula Farr and her PubNight Committee who worked extremely hard on a host of tasks to ensure the evening ran like clockwork. The evening raised over $4,400 which will go directly to help support the Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association riding programs for special needs children.
So many generous supporters made donations of goods for the Silent Auction, that more than half were offered in a Raffle. The lists of donors and what they provided are shown below. Thanks are due to all of them for supporting this great cause. There were also a 50/50 raffle and many door prizes.
Particular thanks are due to Philipp Fuhrmann of Rocky Mountain Marketing, who provided a number of signed sports memorabilia for the Silent Auction.
