Pennies for Ponies Program

We ask everyone to bring in all your pennies. It all goes to the care and up keep of the horses.

Every penny counts!!

Volunteer today!

A huge thank you to all of our new and returning volunteers for this session for your enthusiasm and dedication assisting us at our new facility.

VTEA is always in need of volunteers. We need therapeutic riding volunteers to assist with our lessons. Training is given for this. We also need volunteers to assist with office / administrative work, barn work, barn / paddock maintenance, fundraising, special events, etc. We are currently working on increasing our volunteer base so if you or anyone you know may be interested in volunteering a couple of hours per week, please contact us.

Volunteer Pre-requisites include:

  • Must be 14 years of age and older (parental consent required if under 19 years of age)
  • Must attend our one hour Volunteer Information and Orientation Session
  • Must apply for an RCMP Criminal Record Check (no cost involved)

Lend us your helping hands, and we will put a fresh smile on your face and some fresh country air in your lungs! Volunteer today!

You can download a Volunteer Information Form to complete. This is a PDF file readable with Acrobat Reader, which is free software. You will also be asked to sign a Volunteer Liability Release Form. There is also a PDF file version of the Volunteer Manual 2009 that you can download.

VTEA Adobe Reader

If you need Adobe Reader, you can download it at the Adobe Download website. The initial choice of Operating System at this site is Windows XP. If you have another operating system, then you must select it.

There is also a free Therapeutic Riding Assistant Course from time to time, which is really informative.
