VTEA Recreational Therapeutic Equine Experience for Front Line Heroes
Valley Therapeutic has created the Front Line Heroes Program, a Recreational Therapeutic Equine Experience that aims to provide relief to front line workers from the mental stress and anxiety they experience working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of equine therapy is to enhance the quality of life for riders by improving their physical, mental, and emotional well being with the help of highly trained, empathetic therapy horses. These equine assisted activities can play a significant role in alleviating stress, anxiety and depression relating to trauma.
This one-hour session with one of our therapy horses, and under the guidance of a CanTRA certified instructor, will work on stress and anxiety reduction using breathing and mindfulness techniques as well as stretching exercises to release tension. The cost of the session is $60. To find out more about this Experience, click here for What You Can Expect (PDF).
Ready to register for your Front Line Hero Equine Experience? If so, please complete the Front Line Hero Information Form below.
Please note, you will also be required to complete and sign VTEA Waiver (PDF) before your session. If are unable to print the Waiver prior to your session, no problem; we can provide you with a Waiver when you arrive at VTEA. We would ask, however, that you take the time to read the Waiver prior to coming to VTEA. If you have any questions, please let us know!
