Riding Instructor

Job Title: Instructor
Reports to: Program Manager
Salary: Dependant on Certification

  • CTRB1 (level 1): $ 21.00 to 23.00

  • CTRB1 (Level 2): $ 23.00 to 25.00

  • Intermediate CTR11: $ 25.00 to 27.00

  • Senior (CTRSI): $27.00 to 29.00

  • Coach: $29.00 to 31.00

Job Summary: To teach or assist with teaching therapeutic riding sessions.

Program Manager

Job Title: Program Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager & the Board of Directors
Salary: $25 to $30 per hour

  • CanTRA certification as Instructor, CTR II or above

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities in an equivalent management position

  • Standard First Aid certificate with CPR/AED endorsement

Primary Duties:

  • Supervision and development of all VTEA Instructors and Therapists.

  • Client scheduling and lesson planning

  • Instructing therapeutic riding sessions

  • Communication and reporting.

  • Assisting with other activities, both internally and externally, as required

Job Summary: The Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of VTEA’s therapeutic riding program, including supervision of Instructors and Therapists, clients, lesson planning, and equine care in partnership with the Equine Manager. The Program Manager is also responsible for teaching therapeutic riding lessons and reporting to the Operations Manager and/or the Board of Directors.
